INGREDIENTS

Do you have chocolate assortments that do not contain nuts/gluten/dairy?
We do have chocolates that do not contain intentional nuts, gluten or dairy. However, as all of our products are produced in the same facility, there may be traces of these ingredients present. Any person with a nut, gluten or dairy allergy should not consume any of our products.

Are there preservatives in your products?
There is no preservative in our products. We use all natural and very often organic ingredients, e.g. organic cream, organic cane sugar.

Where do you get your ingredients from mostly?
Our Belgian chocolate ingredients are from Barry Callebaut AG, and we source other ingredients from the world’s best producers, e.g. pistachio from Italy, hazelnut from Turkey, almond from California, organic cream from Ontario Canada.

ORDERING

Can I custom pack my own chocolates?
Yes. In addition to our Dark Chocolate Only and Milk Chocolate Only assortments, you can also custom pack your own chocolates. Please select the appropriate box size for Assorted Chocolates and Truffles, put it in the shopping cart and proceed to checkout. During the checkout process, under “Special Instructions”, specify your selections, e.g. Champagne Truffle 2, Delice 5, etc. You can view a description of our entire collection here

You can also specify “no gluten”, “no nut” or “no dairy” selection. However, as all of our products are produced in the same facility, traces of these ingredients may be present.

Can I place my order via email?
Yes. Please include your telephone no. and we will call to confirm your order and to obtain credit card information. Our email address is CustomerService@bernard-callebaut.com

You can also order for pick-up from our store by calling us toll free at 1-888-388-9927 (local 1-847-283-9927). Pick-up orders are usually ready within an hour.

How late do you accept orders for shipping on the same day?
We can ship your order on the same day if we receive your order by 3 pm Central time. Most of the time, we can still process your order for shipping on the same day as late as 6 pm.

SHIPPING

What is your shipping charge?
For a day definite guaranteed service, we charge a very reasonable flat rate of $14.95 per address/recipient, for standard service, for up to 15 lb between October and April, and up to 5 lbs between May and September. There is no extra charge for Saturday delivery to residential addresses.

Is there a handling charge in addition to your shipping charge?
No, there is no hidden handling charge. There are no surprises at checkout. All packaging, gift card, coolpak(s) etc. are included.

What carrier do you use?
We use UPS and FedEx, whichever gets to the destination faster. Both are guaranteed service. Occasionally we use United States Postal Service (USPS) for APO and PO Box deliveries. However this is not a guaranteed service.

How long does it take to get my order delivered?
Because of our logistical advantage, for most destination cities, it only takes one to two days to ship from our Chicago location for your order to arrive.

What if the gift recipient isn’t home when the gift arrives on a hot summer day?
Between May and September when the weather is warmer, we always contact the recipient to arrange for a suitable delivery date. Our carrier is also advised to ring the bell to alert the recipient when the gift arrives at the door. We always include plenty of coolpaks inside the package to keep the gift items cool.

The gift recipient works during the week. Can my gift be delivered on the weekend?
We can arrange for a Saturday home delivery, at no extra charge. Please specify “Saturday delivery” on the checkout page under Special Instructions.
